Mangalore, Oct 16: Ullal police inspector Jayant Shetty has been promoted as the deputy superintendent of police, and posted to Panambur sub-division.

Chandragupta, who had recently taken over as the assistant superintendent of police in Panambur sub-division, has been transferred. Jayant Shetty has replaced him.

    This person definitely deserves to be promoted , Many  have  misunderstood this person, he's a very nice man and a wonderful cop. Well before commenting on his mistakes please try and appreciate the good things he's done  in mangalore...All the best to you Sir ..........

    An abuser of Human Rights gets a promotion as DySp. It's an insult to the honest and upright police officers. It must be a pre-arranged deal after the successful attacks on Christians. I wish his tenure will end soon.

    Mr.Jayant Shetty was a nice human being till the time he was playing cricket for Akay Industires at Hubli and joining the police force. I used to admire his batting skills. His brother happened to be my benchmate & friend, while in final B.Com. All three brothers were excellent cricketers from Hubli. I think he must have transformed after donning Khaki uniform.

    He deserves promotion to harass christians in a much greater capacity. If I meet him, I would definitely treat him what he deserves.
