M'lore: Self-help Group for Litterateurs to be Inaugurated on Oct 19

Mangalore, Oct 16: The Karavali Sahitya Vedike in association with Mangalore Institute of Fashion Technology (MIFT) will inaugurate a ‘Litterateurs Self-help Group’, at MIFT Conference Hall, on Sunday October 19.
Adressing the media at Pathrika Bhavan on Wednesday October 15, M G Hegde, founder of MIFT, said Akashvani assistant director Shivanand Bekal will inaugurate the group, while Pradip Kumar Kalkura will preside over the function. Dr Meenakshi Ramachandra, lecturer, Besant Women’s College, will participate in the workshop for poets to be organized on the occasion.
Hegde said that the main objectives of the group are to provide loan to litterateurs for printing books and aid in the event of accidents occuring. Srinivas Prabhu, Shivanand Karkera, and Prakash Kadri, were present at the press meet.
