Udupi, Oct 14: 'Suyoga-Swodyoga', a convention of Stree Shakti self-help groups-cum-self-employment information camp, will be organized by the Paryaya Puttige Math with the support of zilla panchayat, at Rajangana in the city on Oct 18 at 9 am.
The camp will be conducted to provide self-employment information to around 200 representatives from Stree Shakti groups. It will aim at mitigating the unemployment problem in the society, said Shri Sugunendra Teerta Swamiji of the Paryaya Puttige Math, speaking at a press meet held here on Tuesday October 14.
The representatives of all the Stree Shakti self help groups from Udupi district which fall under the women and child development department and also job-seekers will participate in the programme, he said.
Information about various governmental schemes and also on dairy-development activities will be given on the occasion by experts in the field. In addition, exhibition and sale of self-employment products will be arranged.
The exhibition stalls will be inaugurated by the president of Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers Union Kaup Diwakar Shetty. Paryaya Puttige Math Swamiji and Shiroor Laskshmivara Teerta Swamiji will be present. MLA of Udupi Raghupati Bhat will preside over the function. Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Krishna Palemar will inaugurate the programme, it was informed.
Executive officer M Nagaraj Acharya and Umesh Bhat were present at the press meet.
