Mangalore, Oct 15: A house at Bengre coming under the city corporation limits was burnt down completely due to an accidental fire recently.
Suhasini alias Amba Kotian lost her house along with fishing net, cash and other valuables in the fire. The loss due to the fire is estimated to be around Rs 45,000.
Corporator from Bengre Shakuntala Karkera visited the spot of and expressed her sympathies to the distressed family. She also promised them to provide financial assistance from the government and to provide them financial support under the 'Matsyashraya' scheme of the government very soon.
