Mangalore, Oct 15: A woman who was admitted to a hospital, after her veil got caught in the grinder that had been switched on and was grievously injured on the night of October 10 as a result, breathed her last at a hospital here, on Sunday October 12.
The womana had hurt herself at Kinnipadav within the Bajpe police station limits and the woman has been identified as Naseema(26) from Adyar near Kannur, wife of Muktaleef from Jeppinamogeru. Both of them are dumb, and it is said, she visited her husband's home only once after her marriage.
Naseema was operating the grinder at the home of her maternal uncle K M Ismail, when the veil hanging from her neck got caught in the moving part of the grinder. She was asphyxiated and blood oozed from her nose, after which she was admitted to a hospital in Mangalore.
