Udupi, Oct 14: Shooting for the Kannada film, 'Houseful,' was held with a team of performers at the Malpe beach near the city, recently.

On the occasion of Dasara vacation, the sea shore at Malpe had turned colourful, with people and children on holidays having thronged the place, wearing colourful clothes. The thrill of thousands of visitors on one side and the shooting for the film on the other, with hundreds of curious onlookers jostling for space to have a glimpse of the actors in action, filled the entire beach.

Though the shooting took place during the early morning hours, the place was filled with glitter in the evening. The marriage set had come up on the shore. The attractive dances of actors and actresses, interspersed with humour, tragedy and also other scenes were shot.

While the actors and actresses were dancing as instructed by the director, the cameraman was busy with selecting good shots. Innumerable number of people gathered to watch retakes of the same scene time and again, creating problems for the shooting team.

The high temperature in the coastal belt made the film team tired, but the visitors were watching them with enthusiasm.

'Housefull,' an out-and-out comedy film, is being directed by Hemant Hegde. The local actors like Digant and Hemant were accompanied by Vishaka and Girija from Mumbai. The film is being produced at a cost of around two crore rupees.

The scenes of film will be shot at Charlie Chaplin, Tenka Yermal and Kaup beach too. For Hemant, who has already directed films in Hindi, this is his fourth film in Kannada. The shooting commenced in the month of August and the team wants to conclude shooting by the end of November.
