Kundapur, Oct 14: Radhakrishna Karant (75), temple priest of Hemmadi Sri Lakshminarayana temple, drowned in the temple tank on Sunday October 12.
As per the practice, he had gone to the tank to take bath before conducting Rangapooje at the temple. But he did not come back for long. Accordingly people started searching for him, they found him floating in the tank.
It is suspected that he slipped on the steps of the tank and drowned thereafter.
