Mangalore, Oct 14: Bantwal taluk received copious rains on Monday October 13 too. Three houses suffered partial damages due to lightning, in Kavalpadoor, Fajeer and Vittal villages of the taluk.

Rains resumed with intensity in Sullia taluk again, on Monday. Rains coupled with thunder and lightning choked the drains and flooded the roads in Sullia. The procession of Goddess Sharada was delayed by about an hour because of the rain. Power supply was snapped in almost all parts of the taluk.

Puttur got three cms of rain on Monday. Mani and Udupi got rains of two cms each, while Dharmasthala accounted for one cm of rain.

The department has forecast rains to continue for two more days.
