Kundapur, Oct 13: In a complaint filed with the local police station on Saturday October 11, editor of local Kannada daily, 'Karavali Dhwani', Babu Hakladi has alleged that two employees of the local KSRTC office abused and assaulted him, when he had gone there to book ticket for Bangalore.

He said, he had gone to the KSRTC booking office for buying tickets. "A person named M B Nayak, who was on duty at the office at that time, advised me to travel by private buses, as the seats of the government buses were not comfortable. When I insisted on travelling by KSRTC bus, Nayak and another office staff named B Shivaram, came out of the office and apart from using abusive language, physically assaulted me," Hakladi has explained.

The Taluk Journalists' Union has, through a release, condemned the action of the accused in assaulting Babu Hakladi. The Union has urged the policemen to initiate action against the erring KSRTC staff immediately.
