Udupi, Oct 11: A decision will be taken during the next cabinet meeting, on the Datta Peeta puja issue, said chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Answering questions on the matter raised by some reporters during his visit to Srikrishna Math here on Friday October 10,  he asserted, he would not be able to give any instant reply to the question. He however categorically added, that everyone has the liberty to follow his religion, within the legal framework.

"Terrorists have been entering the state not only through the coast, but also from Hyderabad Karnataka region. Our government is determined to take strong measures to contain terrorist aactivities. We will also be closely watching the educational institutions that shelter terrorists. Our first preference is always to maintain law and order situation in the state," Yeddyurappa asserted.

He also said, that the citizens of Bangaladeh and Pakistan, who are residing in the state, will be identified and sent back, wherever their passports have expired. On the question of banning Bajrang Dal, he said that this issue will be discussed at the National Integration Council meeting at Delhi on October 13.

He also clarified that the government is committed to provide the grants needed for the naxal-affected hamlets. Home minister Dr V S Acharya and MLA K Raghupati Bhat were present.
