Mangalore: Mangaladevi Temple Basks in Dasara Glory

Mangalore Oct 10: Mangaladevi Dasara festival was celebrated by the temple management and the people, by beautifying the temple surroundings with lightings, buntings and offering various services to the goddess, on Thursday October 9. Nine different incarnations of the Goddess were projected, by making appropriate changes in the appearance of the presiding deity, during the nine-day festival. 'Balipuja' and special pujas were offered to the Goddess in front of the chariot of the Goddess, on the last day of Dasara. On the occasion of Sharada Pooja, kids were initiated to education inside the temple on October 9. Innumerable devotees participated in the festival.

Bhakti Rasamanjari programme by Ganabhushana Venkatakrishna Bhat and troupe is being held on Friday Oct 10 at 6 pm in the temple premises, in connection with the festivities. District-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar and others will participate in the concluding ceremony at 7.30 pm today.
