Bantwal, Oct 10: "Let Kalladka be a centre for bringing together the entire Hindu society. Let every Indian become a staunch emulator of the principles and guidelines left behind by Lord Rama, our spiritual leader. Let us also pledge to strive for the installation of the welfare state, 'Ramarajya'," urged Sri Vishweshateerta Swamiji of Pejawar Math

He was delivering benedictory speech, after laying the foundation stone for 'Srirama Bhajana Mandir' being built at Kalladka by Sri Ramanjaneya Trust, recently.

"Social service activities should never be backed by selfish interests. An awakening needs to be created in the Hindu society. As we have a number of 'Ravanas,' thousands of Lord Anjaneyas may have to be created to counter them," the Swamiji said.

In his introductory address, Mandir Renovation Committee honourary president Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat called upon the people to forget all kinds of differences between them including the political and rational ones, and come together for the common good. "We should be prepared to undertake freedom struggle once again. Law and order will transcend on the country when the vision of 'Ramarajya' as envisioned by Gandhiji becomes a reality," he added.

K S Nityanand of Chikmagalur Veda Vijnana Kendra Gurukul performed religious rituals connected with the foundation laying ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, state BJP prepsident D V Sadanand Gowda, who was the chief guest, stressed the need to maintain social harmony and hoped that Bhajana Mandirs will become inspirational centres towards achieving this objective.

District-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar and Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraj Shetty also spoke on the occasion. Ex-MLA A Rukmaya Poojary and working president of the Renovation Committee Jitendra S Kottary were present.
