Mangalore: Accomplice of Ahmed Bawa Identified

Mangalore, Oct 10: The policemen are learnt to have identified an accomplice of Ahmed Bawa, terror suspect who was arrested from his home in Haleangady near here, with the help of some leads. The man, who worked for some time as Bawa's assistant in a house where Bawa resided with him, is known with different names, it is learnt.

The man, identified as the son of a resident from Kattinamane village in Narasimharajpur taluk of Chikmagalur district, worked as assistant to Ahmed Bawa in Vittalamakki near Koppa for some time. He had bought equipment related with the dish connection from a shop in Koppa on October 1, the police have discovered. It is said that an engineer named Yasin accompanied him during the said purchase. After Ahmed Bawa was arrested by the policemen on October 2, these people have gone underground.
