Mangalore, Oct 10: Some places in Dakshina Kannada district received rains on the evening of Thursday October 9.
Beltangady taluk received heavy rain coupled with thunder and lightning. By evening, overcast skies forced the vehicle drivers to switch on their headlights.
Subrahmanya, Sampaje and Doddathota in Sullia taluk and most of the places in Puttur taluk too experienced heavy wind and rains on Thursday evening. The city however, received only light showers, although the horizon was full of dark clouds and lightning lit up the skies frequently.
