Udupi, Oct 9: The Kanakadasa Study research Chair, to be set up at MGM College, will be inaugurated by the state home minister Dr V S Acharya at the Rashtrakavi Govinda Pai Research Centre of MGM College on Saturday October 11 at 4 pm.
On this occasion, the chair emblem, compiled work of Kanakadasa's 'Haribhaktasara' and CDs of 'Haribhaktasara' will be released, along with launching of www.kanakaudupi.com. Specimen of 'Dasapada Kosha' will also be released on the occasion, informed director of the centre, Heranje Krishna Bhat, in a press release.
State energy minister K S Eshwarappa will be the chief guest and Sri Vishweshatheerta Swamiji of Pejavar Math will be present on the occasion. MLA K Raghupati Bhat will preside over the function. Musical programme titled 'Kanaka Goshti' by Vidwan Madhoor P Balasubramanyam will be the concluding programme of the function, he added.
