Mangalore: ‘Naach Sombhram’ Entertains Audience at Kalaangann

Mangalore, Oct 6: ‘Naach Sombhram, a dance competition was held at Kalaangann Konkani amphitheater, as part of the 82nd monthly cultural programme by ‘Mandd Sobhann’ on Sunday October 5.

Nine couples participated in the competition on Sunday and five of these were selected for the final round. The couples entertained the gathering in their quest for the prize.  Out of this Ashwin and Adurba emerged winners edging out Roshan and Herol while Vijith and Marul stood third. Konkani Prachar Sanchalan president Roy Castelino presented prizes to the winners.

Eric Ozario, former president, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, Mukesh Benetto, and Naveen Lobo, were the judges.

‘Hanv Ani Mhozo Dev’, a devotional MP3 produced by Mandd Sobhan was released on the occasion. Fr Nelson Pinto, rector, Infant Jesus Shrine at Carmel Hill, released the MP3 and graced the occasion. Luvi Pinto, president of Mandd Sobhann, and Stany Alvares were present on the occasion. Arunraj Rodrigues compered the programme.
