Mangalore: Youth from Bangalore Drowns at Ullal Beach

Mangalore, Oct 6: When members of a family from Bangalore were playing in the sea waters at Ullal beach near here on Sunday October 5, one of them drowned, while two others were saved by the local fishermen.

Chand Pasha(18) son of Suban Saheb from  Madina MOhalla, Bangalore, died in the incident, while his cousins Amrina Tazhi and Rahim were saved by the fishermen.

A group of nine relatives from Bangalore had arrived at the Ullal Dargah on October 4. They had left Bangalore on October 3, and had visited tourist centres in Chikmagalur district before coming here. After staying overnight at the Dargah, the people came to Ullal beach in the morning. The above three persons were dragged into the sea by powerful waves, but the fishermen succeeded in saving two of them. Search for Pasha's body is on.

A case has been registered at Ullal police station about the incident.
