Udupi: Singer Yesudas Visits Yellur Sri Vishveshwar Temple

Udupi, Oct 6: Renowned singer Yesudas visited the Sri Vishveshwar temple, Yellur, near here, on Sunday October 5, on an invitation from the temple managing committee and renovation overseeing committee. He was en route a musical extravaganza at Nandikoor. 

 

 
The over a thousand-years-old temple, attracts numerous devotees, irrespective of religion. Music maestro Yesudas assured the temple trustees that he would attend the ‘Brahmakalashotsav’, that will be held at the renovated temple from March 4, 2009, to March 12, 2009. 
 
Temple managing trustee Y Prafulla Shetty, temple priest Kenja Sridar Tantri, renovation overseeing committee secretary Kuthyar Prasad Shetty, vice-president Arunakar Shetty, temple manager Raghavendra Rao, committee treasurer Gururaj Manjittaya, committee members Niranjan Shetty, Vishnumurthi Bhat, and Y Shambu Bhandary were present on the occasion.
