Bhubaneswar, Oct 5: Prominent Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda alias Sunil today "claimed responsibility" for the murder of VHP leader Swami Laxmananda Saraswati and four others, which lead to large scale flare-up in Orissa's Kandhamal district, on two regional news channels.

A Maoist leader, identified as Panda, told the reporters of the two private Oriya television channels at an undisclosed destination, that the Maoist outfit decided to eliminate Saraswati as he was "spreading social unrest" in the tribal dominated district.

The Maoist leader reportedly said that they had earlier asked Saraswati to desist from "such works" or face consequences.

"As Saraswati did not pay heed to our warning, he was killed," Panda told the reporters, adding that they have also issued similar warnings to 14 other persons, mostly belonging to the sangh parivar in Kandhamal.

According to the reporters who attended the secret meet, they had to walk miles before holding a talk with Panda. They were asked to come on one vehicle without the knowledge of the police.

Panda was one of the most wanted maoist by the Orissa police, official sources said.

There was no official reaction to the startling disclosure in the channels.

Everyone knows who killed Lakshmananda Sarswati. By this the greed, zealous and nasty acts of the associates of BJP have been exposed. Chief Minister Navin Patnayak’s hand is covered with blood. He should be arrested immediately without bail for the genocide of Christians in Orissa. Federal government should impose President’s rule immediately/intervene and act without wasting time.

The Maoists had left some letters saying that they had killed the VHP leader and the police and Orissa Govt was knowing this fact. Orissa Govt deliberately allowed the voilence against Christians just to please theeir partner BJP. They allowed the VHP/RSS/BD thugs to attack the Christians in order to wipe out Christianity from Orissa. BJP is allied with the BJD in Orissa and the CM of Orissa, Navin Patnaik wants BJP support.

The Sang Parivar is a curse for Hindus, as they have already spoiled the good name of tolerant Hindus in the international level. All Hindus should defeat the communal forces like VHP/RSS/BD and try to maintain peace and harmony. "Conversion" was an excuse for fanatics to terrorise the innocent and harmless Christian ommununity members, most of them were very poor. I call upon all the sensible Hindus to isolate the Sang Parivar outfits and defeat their evil desings. Jai Hind.

Only in India that outlawed organizations like this could openly give statement against killing people and go scott free. Maoists have grown strong when Communists were in power in center and unlike other groups this group want India to be part of China!!. EVERY political party is indirectly supporting one or another outlawed organization. God save our country from these politicians.

It was a long know fact. The police had declared it the Maos had claimed. But these brutal police have a nasty habit: not to question those who claim responsibility (mahendra kumar in Mangalore attack case, and Maos in Orissa) instead brutally assault the victims of violence! It is the same in Mangalore, Orissa, Gujarat & Ullal violence against Muslims.

One dimension of the Orissa story has unfolded. It is the loss of face for the sangh parivar. Now the anti nationals will come with some other justifications for hunting Christians! All they want is to exterminate Christians (in the name of religion and gain political power). The communal bjp is their patron. Kuldip Nayar had also unearthed the nefarious designs of the sangh parivar (on 12th Sept). But no sane voice spoke up. Some fundamentalists criticised him. I pray at least some sense prevails in these difficult times.

May this festival season be joyful for everyone - specially for the victims of communal & state sponsored violence. May truth triumph. May justice prevail. May rule of the law be the only rule around.

Why there is so much delay in claiming responsibility of killing? If the claim is true then who has to blame for loss of human lives? Now people are waiting for VHP leader's reaction.
