Mangalore: Inquiry into Efforts to Create Road Block for Police Team

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Oct 5: An attempt was made by some miscreants to block the road by which the policemen were returning after conducting operations in Ullal on Friday October 3, by burning tyres on the road.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, inspector general of police A M Prasad said that an investigation will be conducted into the incident and culprits involved will be brought to book.

The operation was launched by the policemen at about 2.45 am and the operation came to an end in about two hours. The fact that the concerned could organise road block within such a short time, gives an indication that there is good co-ordination among the miscreants.

The Police should quietly & stealthly complete the investigation before vomitting tits bits of information to the hungry media. They need to be non-partisan and mature on their public image.
