Udupi: Karanth Award for Ravi Belagere

Udupi, Oct 4: Journalist Ravi Belagere has been chosen for the Dr Kota Shivarama Karanth Hutturu Prashasti.

Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa would present the prashasti to Belagere at Giliyaru Shambhavi School in Kota village of Udupi district on October 10.

The award, instituted by the Kotathattu Gram Panchayat, is given annually on the birth anniversary of the Jnanpeeth awardee late Kota Shivarama Karanth.Home Minister V S Acharya will participate in the function.
