London: Indian Couple Bag ‘Right to Livelihood Award’

Krishnammal and Shankaralingam Jagannathan, have been selected for the ‘Right to Livelihood’ award, which is considered an equivalent of the Nobel Prize. 

The Jagannathans are the founders of ‘Land for the liberty of tiller’, an organization in Nagapatnam, Tamil Nadu (TN). They will share the award of 20 lac Swedish Krona with an American journalist and a German gynaecologist, stated the press release issued from Stockholm.
 
This couple was selected for the award in recognition of their dedication to social justice and continued human resources growth based on Gandhian principles, stated the press release.

    Congratulations to Krishnammal and Shankaralingam Jagannathan,""These are the people who are building the image of the India globally""but we damage all their efforts by antisocial activities by damaging churches killing innocents in the name of religion and involving in communalism...hope these people get enlightenment.
