Mangalore, Oct 3:
The feast of Little Flower of Jesus was celebrated at Carmel Cloistered Convent, Kankanady, on Wednesday October 1.

Fr Valerian Mendonca, director, Sandesha Lalit Kala Academy, offered the festive mass along with Fr Peter Veigas who is serving in Belgaum diocese. Large number of devotees and entire Congregation participated in the celebration.

Little Flower St Theresa, was the youngest of nine children of her parents.  Her parents made every possible attempt to bring up their children in the love of Christ and to render them to His service.  St Theresa joined the convent at the age of 15 after having undergone numerous hardships.

She was obedient to God’s will under all circumstances. The little flower of Jesus faded away on September 30, 1897.
