Panaji: CM Reiterates Support For The Promotion Of Art & Culture

Panaji, Sep 23:
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat has reiterated his wholehearted support in the promotion of art and culture in Goa.
 
Goa is known as land of artists. However many artists from Goa became famous when they performed outside the state.
 
"Learning under the guidance of great maestros and Guru`s was essential for the growth of artistes and the Government had started implementing schemes to support such students", said Chief Minister while speaking as chief guest at function held here today.
 
Speaking further Kamat said, the Government has introduced many schemes for the benefit of artistes and Goa has been appreciated all over the country its own cultural policy.
 
The Government is implementing programmes and schemes in accordance with the policy and as the implementation progresses more and more benefit will go to the artistes.
 
He said number of artistes are benefited by the Kalakar Kritadnyata scheme being implemented in Goa.
 
Chief Minister said that all main cities and towns of Goa should get the opportunity to witness art and culture programmes and announced that a cultural festival by West Zone Cultural Center, Udaipur will be held in November.
