Mangalore: Advanced English Lab Inaugurated at St Theresas’ School in Bendore

Mangalore, Sep 2: Advanced English language lab was inaugurated at St Sebastian and St Theresas’ School located in Bendore on Monday Septmber 1.

Fr Swebert D’Silva, principal of St Aloysius College, blessed and inaugurated the lab. Speaking on the occasion, he expressed the opinon, that the day a person stops learning, he can be considered to be dead. One should strive to become better person with each passing day, he advised.

“Everybody should learn soft skills like the ability to speak as many languages as possible, to work in groups with unity and to handle the computers. One should continue his efforts constantly to acquire all these skills and hone them,” he exhorted.

Sr Joy, secretary of Bethany Educational Society informed, that the English teaching software has been procured from England, through a Chennai based company named Young India Films. The lab will help to both Kannada and English medium students to learn correct English affectively. This facility will be extended to the general public during vacations and outside school hours, she informed.

Sr Wilbarta, vice-president of Bethany Educational Society, presided over the function. Local corporator Gretta Rebello was present on the dais.

Sr Juliana, Sr Rose Margaret, Sr Pavana and others were present on the occasion.

Afraz explained about various facilities available in the lab. Francisca compered the programme.
