Udupi: Rs 80 Lac Plan for Trasi-Maravante Beach

Udupi, Sep 1: District Commissioner P Hemalatha announced that the Rs 80 lac plan has been prepared for the tourist development work at Trasi-Maravante beach.

She was speaking at the Trasi-Maravante beach protection committee's meeting held recently at Jewel Park Hotel in Hemmady. According to this plan music fountain, food court, open theatre, lightings, parking area will be set up at Maravante beach.

Naik and Consultant Company, Bangalore will prepare the planning report. Architect Shashi Naik explained the plan. Committee members Anantha Movadi, M Nagaraj Hebbar, Abraham Chako, Sasdu Billava, Richard Almeida, M Vinayaka Rao, Srinivasa Avabrata, VK Kamath, Manohar Shetty and Sharada D Bijur spoke on the occasion.

Tourism department's assistant director BS Shivalingappa welcomed. Beach Tourism Sub-committee president S Janardhan proposed vote of thanks.
