Karkala: Liza Commercial Plaza Inaugurated

Karkala, Aug 29: The newly-constructed Liza commercial plaza near taluk office was inaugurated on Thursday August 28. Fr Arthur Pereira, parish priest of St Lawrence pilgrimage center, Attoor, blessed the new building and performed the inauguration.



MLA Gopal Bhandary was the chief guest of the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he said that the private citizens should invest in the development of the city. It will help the overall progress of society, he opined.

Sri Venkataramana temple trustee Ravindra Bhat, town municipality president Sitaram, Jamaat-e-Hind president Imtiaz Ahmed, and promoters of the plaza, Walter and Gladys D'Silva, were present on the dais.

Don Fernandes compered the programme while Devaraya Prabhu proposed the vote of thanks.
