Mangalore: Venkatesh Prasanna to Head DCIB

Mangalore, Aug 28: Police inspector Venkatesh Prasanna, one of the most efficient police officers the district has seen, has been transferred to the District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB). Earlier, T B Rajanna was heading the DCIB.

A total of 108 police officers have been transferred in the state and they are asked to report at the places of posting immediately. The transfer of Venkatesh Prasanna was also included in the same list.

Earlier, Venkatesh Prasanna had served in Pandeshwar and Mulky police stations in the district. He was successful in controlling the anti-social elements within the area of command. Therefore, he has been appointed for the DCIB.

Central Intelligence Bureau sources have informed that of late, the coastal region is turning into a safe haven for the terrorists. Therefore, the home ministry has decided to appoint efficient police officers at strategic points.
