M'lore: Christian Delegation Pleads for Lifting of Prohibitory Orders

Mangalore, Aug 28: A delegation of Christians met the deputy commissioner and the district in-charge minister here on Wednesday August 27 and requested them to lift the prohibitory orders clamped in the area around the prayer hall of St Lawrence Church, for enabling the concerned to conduct the Novena prayer rituals connected with the birth anniversary of Virgin Mary, from August 30 to September 8.

The delegation comprised of city corporators Navin D'Souza and Lancelot Pinto, ex zilla panchayat vice-president Shalet Pinto, Lancy D'Cunha, central committee president of Catholic Sabha, JD (S) leader Sushil Noronha etc.
