Karkala: Bhuvanendra College to Conduct Workshop on ‘Media and Mind’

Karkala, Aug 28: The journalism and psychology department of Sri Bhuvanendra College  will be organizing a university-level workshop on ‘Media and mind’, at their college auditorium on Saturday. August 30.

The workshop is specially designed for journalists, as well as students of media and journalism. Dr M S Mudittaya, director,Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, will inaugurate the workshop. B Padmanabha Gowda, principal of the college, will preside over the function.

Later, discussions will be held on various topics. Dr P V Bhandary, psychiatrist of Udupi district hospital, will speak on ‘Journalism profession and mind,’ while Shashidhar Bhat, chief of Suvarna, Kannada TV channel, will speak on ‘Electronic media and social commitment’, and Capt Hemanth Ponnappa, station head, Big 92.7 FM, Mangalore, will speak on ‘Radio industry growth and career opportunities’.
