Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Aug 27: A protest was organized by the local unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) in front of the deputy commissioner's office here on Tuesday, August 26, condemning the killing of VHP leaders at Orissa.

A memorandum, urging the Orissa Governor and chief minister to ensure that the killer gang of 30 gets suitable punishment for the act, was submitted to the deputy commissioner.

VHP president M B Puranik requested the communities not to give scope for incidents like religious conversions, cow slaughter, cow trafficking, harassment of girls, terrorism etc., which are frequently witnessed in the coastal districts, to avoid unnecessary conflicts. He also called upon the Muslims to condemn terrorism.

At Udupi, VHP honorary president Balaji Raghavendra Rao warned the people of the danger posed by the large scale infiltration of people into India from Bangladesh and Pakistan. This influx and forcible conversions pose the danger to the Hinduism of being relegated to a minority community in the country in future, he warned.

Sorry for the people who died in Orrissa. But what about atrocities done by minorities. It has become a trend in India to feel wrong and guilty in saying THIS IS A HINDU NATION.I think too much has been tolerated in this country for too many years.Things have to fall in its places.

So many Indians die for all the wrong reasons. Why should they be left out from any condolence protest.

As Mr. William Lobo said, this is exactly adding fuel to fire. Already the Hindu Terrorists have killed many innocent Christians in Orissa and Mr. Puranik is giving more importance to conversions, cow slaughter, cow trafficking etc than the human life. What a shame!

Mr. Puranik, please do not try to justify the killing of innocents. We, Muslims and Christians also will join hands with you in condemning the killings of VHP leaders, but at the same time we request you to give more importance to human life. Terrorism is a real menace to the society and majority of the Muslims have always condemned such attacks and no one need to teach us to condemn terrorism.

M B Puranik, Please do not try to add fuel into the fire Its people like you who are the root cause for such mayhem. You are talking about terrorism my suggestion is practice what you preach.People like you are the biggest source of terrorism in Secular India. Please do not mislead your people and make up your own stories of conversion etc. If you have the spine prove these claims.
