Mangalore: 'Makkala Dhwani' Literary Event on Aug 30, 31

Mangalore, Aug 27: Dakshina Kannada district Makkala Sahitya Sangama will organize 15th edition of 'Makkala Dhwani' a literary event at Vidyadayini High School from August 30 to 31.

Dr M Mohan Alva, Alva's Education Foundation president will inaugurate the programme.

Speaking to press persons here on Tuesday August 26, Associations secretary B Srinivasa Rao informed that the event will also mark the book release authored by Konchady Sitharam Bhat, Puttur Ullas Pai, B V Kulavarma and Savithri Manohar.

Canara Girls High School student Sanjana Rao will preside over the 'poets' meet' and as many as 30 students will recite their poems in the occasion. Vidyadayini School student Prashanth Holla will preside over the short story conference.

Cultural competition and programmes have also been organized. Writer H N Hebbar and Kavyashri Kulavarma, a student of Kumble government high school will be felicitated in recognition of their contribution to the literary field.
