Bangalore, Aug 27: The State High Court on Monday, dismissed a public interest litigation filed by a Bangalore based advocate Vasudeva, seeking court directions to restrain the government from spending tax payers' money in sending over a hundred delegates to the Kannada conference being organised in USA by the Association of Kannada Kootas of America.

The division bench comprising of Chief Justice P D Dinakaran and justice Y gopal Gowda in its order, pronounced the abover order, after the government filed a statement in the court, saying that the chief minister, 11 cabinet ministers and some officials were going to the conference on an official visit while the rest will be spending their own money.

The bench found no illegality in the proposed trip of the legislators to USA for the reason cited above. The petition has no merits, the judges commented while dismissing it.
