Popular Front Condemns Assaults on Christians in Orissa

Media Release

Mangalore, Aug 27: Popular Front of India chairman E. Abubacker sought   the Central Government intervention to stop the still continuing assaults against the members of Christian community in tribal areas of Orissa.   The Hindutva communal outfits are misusing the killing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati, reportedly by Maoist groups as a cover to assault the Christian minorities.

The Government of Orissa under control of BJP is allowing the fascist and fundamentalist forces to terrorize the poor, the marginalized and the minorities of the State. The role of the state government machinery, especially the police in the recent atrocities against Christians could not be overlooked.  Hence the central government has to ensure that the security of the lives and properties of the minorities in Orissa are not in peril.

E. Abubacker has called upon all secular sections and the religious minorities to join hands for exposing and checking the real threat to the nation that is the Sangh Parivar brand of Hindutva fascism.

Thank you Popular front of India for your support. I think this the time to force Indian govt to ban these extremists organizations.
