Mangalore, Aug 25: Under the aegis of the Pezar deanery committee, a function was recently held, in which outstanding students from within the Pezar deanery, who scored the highest marks in SSLC, PUC and degree examinations were honoured at a function held at Suratkal Holy Family School hall.
National award winning teacher George Castelino, Nakre was the chief guest. George Castelino, Nakre and Fr Charles Menezes presented the students with mementoes and appreciation certificates. Raphael D'Souza Ferar, president of Catholic Sabha Pezar deanery, welcomed the gathering. Secretary Gretta Pinto was present on the dais.
Jossy D'Silva proposed vote of thanks. Shalini Pereira compered the programme. Zilla panchayat member Victoria D'Cunha, J P Pinto and George Ligoury D'Souza were present on the occasion.
