Mangalore, Aug 25: Regional Transport Officer Sadashiv has got a transfer back to Bangalore, after Karnataka Administrative Tribunal(KAT) upheld his appeal and ordered his transfer there.

Sadashiva, who was transferred four times during the last two years, had approached the KAT to redress his grievance against frequent transfers. He had worked for eight months in Nelamangala, a month in Koppal, 14 months at Bangalore Jnanabharati and again 11 months in Mangalore.

As per the rules governing transfer of government officials framed in the year 2005, an official can be transferred within two years only based on public complaints or his own request. Sadashiva therefore, approached KAT and got his problem redressed.
