Mangalore, Aug 23: District level educational workshop was held for government pre-university lecturers at Government Pre-University Women's College Balmata here on Friday, August 22. The workshop was jointly organized by Dakshina Kannada Pre-university and Professional Course department and Government Pre-university Women's College Balmata.

Mangalore South Zone MLA N Yogish Bhat inaugurated the programme. R Basavarajappa, sub-director, Dakshina Kannada district Pre-University and Professional course department, Ranganath Kini, corporator, City Corporation and Elvira Philomena, principal, government pre-university college, Balmata were chief guests.

Poonaccha T G, principal, government pre-university college Bokkapatna, Jagadish Bhala, senior lecturer, government degree college Haleangadi and Vasudeva Kamath K, and sociology lecturer, government pre-university college, Balmatta were resource persons.

K Thejomaya, former president, city authority and member of port trust presided over the inaugural programme.
