Akhil Goa Mandir Suraksha Samiti to Hold Rally on Aug 17

Panaji, Aug 14: The Akhil Goa Mandir Suraksha Samiti, which is instrumental in the State to create awareness to curb the deplorable series of desecration of temple idols and idols of Saints, has organized a state-level mass gathering here on Sunday August 17.

The said gathering has been organized at the Gomantak Maratha Samaj Hall. The special feature of this gathering is the presence of H H Bramheshanand Swami Maharaj, Pithadeesh of Tapobhoomi, Kundaim. This information was given by the Akhil Goa Mandir Suraksha Samiti in a press conference held here on Wednesday August 13. Convenors of the Samiti Rajendra Velingkar, Vinayak Chari and Jayesh Thali, office-bearer of Padmanabh Sampraday Sudesh Naik were also present at the press conference.

In the recent past, there have at least bee15 incidents of desecration of Hindu temples and idols in the State. The police and the administration have been unsuccessful in curbing the deplorable series of desecration of temple idols. In order to achieve this end, the Samiti has, in the past one and half month conducted a mass awareness campaign in all the talukas of the State, informed the members of this samiti while addressing the press conference.

The Samiti has appealed all devout Hindus to attend this gathering in large numbers and fulfill their duty towards Dharma.
