Mangalore: Man Robbed off Rs 85,000 in Cash at Bendore

Mangalore, Aug 13: Three robbers allegedly robbed a person of Rs.85,000 in broad daylight on Tuesday August 13 afternoon in the city.

A person named Pramith (20) from Kallagudde in Bajal Ramadas Nagar in the city, who used to supply movie CDS on behalf of a firm located in Bejai, was targeted by the robbers. He was going to deposit the said money given by the owners of his company at about 11.30 pm, in ICICI Bank branch located near Bendore St Agnes College.

When Sumit alighted from the city bus in which he had travelled, at the St Agnes bus stop and was about to cross the road divider to reach the bank, a person reportedly snatched the bag containing money and ran away towards a car parked near the ICICI Bank. Pramit chased him and pulled his shirt, but another person standing by the car pushed Pramit away, before fleeing in the parked car along with the robber. The car moved on Mallikatte route and the three occupants of the car spoke in Tulu, Pramit said, in a complaint filed with the police.
