Mangalore, Aug 12: Aloysius Institute of Business Administration will be organizing “Enhancing Organizational Effectiveness”, the Management Development Programme (MDP) on August 28 and 29. Prof Manuel Mendonca from McGill's University, Montreal, faculty of management and the centre for continuing education since 1984 along with Giridhar Prabhu, proprietor, Achal Industries , Mangalore, will be conducting the sessions during the two days of workshop.
Prof Mendonca coordinated the Organizational Behavior Peer Teaching Programme and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership, managerial negotiations, compensation management, managing organizational change, human resource management, employment and organizational behavior and also is an author of several books on organizational behaviour and corporate ethics. He will be sharing his vast experience with the participants of the workshop.
The workshop is designed to address the processes and techniques that are critical to the learning organization. Towards this end, the workshop will focus on the following topics:
- The building blocks of the “Learning Organization
- Managing Employee Selection and Performance
- Leadership
The presentation and discussion of the processes and techniques will be integrated with the appropriate conceptual frameworks in behavioural science which serve as a sound foundation for the practical approaches in managing people. The workshop also explores the related ethical issues and the interventions to ensure the cultural-fit of these processes and techniques.
Every session is designed to be highly interactive – with group discussions, following videos, short cases/scenarios, and presentations, that are intended to provide participants an opportunity to draw on their experience to assess the validity of the content and process of the management techniques that are presented. Such assessment greatly enriches the experience of all participants; it enables them to understand and discover practical applications of the workshop material in the management of their organizations.
AIBA has successfully conducted many MDPs since its inception.
