Panaji, Aug 12: Member of Parliament and president of Rifle Shooting Association of the State Shripad Y Naik has lauded the achievement of 23-year-old Abhinav Bindra with the Prime Minister describing the feat as one of the finest performance.
He congratulated Abhinav Bindra who gave India its first gold medal at the Beijing Olympics. In his message he said, "My hearty congratulations to Abhinav for giving India the Olympic Gold in the 10 metres Air Rifle event."
Naik said, Bindra’s historic feat makes him India's first individual gold medalist bettering the silver medal feat of double trap in Athens 2004.
