Mangalore, Aug 12: The railway authorities have cancelled Mangalore-Bangalore train until further notice. This was because of a landslide between Yedakumeri-Shiribagilu in the Hassan-Mangalore section of the line.

A press release issued by the Palakkad Divisional Office informed that 6517(Yeshwanthpur-Mangalore) and 6518 (Mangalore-Yeshwanthpur) trains have been discontinued until further notice. Press release stated that service will be resumed once the repair works on this route are completed.

One could recall that it was only a few days ago that train service to Bangalore had been disrupted after a goods train derailed near Puttur.
