Mangalore, Aug 8: The district sessions court of Kasargod has rejected the bail applications of the accused in the sensational Safiya murder case on Thursday August 7.

M Abdulla from Arikkadi and Moidu Haji from Madikeri Ayyangeri had approached the court for bail. The prosecutor argued in the court that the accused need to be put through some scientific tests to determine the extent of their involvement in the case. He further apprehended that the accused, if released on bail, might threaten the activists of the action committee which fought for justice in the case and also some political leaders who lent support to this committee.
