Sydney: Mangaloreans Felicitate Bishop Isidore Fernandes of Allahabad

Sydney, Aug 8: Bishop Isidore Fernandes, who hails from Shirva, Mangalore, is presently engaged in missionary work in the Diocese of Allahabad in India.

He visited Sydney for the World Youth Day 2008. He took time to meet a group of Mangaloreans and celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass at the residence of Eric and Asha D'Silva. More than 150 Mangaloreans were present on the occasion.

Bishop Isidore expressed his joy at meeting so many Mangaloreans in a foreign land, including some of his classmates and neighbours from Shirva. Mass was followed by a spectacular Mangalorean meal and everyone enjoyed themselves and had a real feast.
