Mangalore, Aug 8: Raknno Weekly, St.Aloysius Konkani Institute and Konkani Writers' Forum has organized an open Forum on Sunday 10 August at which Rtn.Edwin JF DSouza will speak on the Konkani stalwarts who inspired new trends and school of thought in Konkani literature and Mr.Henry M.Pernal will speak on modern-day writers and their writings. This will be followed by a discussion which will be moderated by Fr.Francis Rodrigues, Editor of Raknno.
The Forum which will be held at Bishop's House Auditorium will be inaugurated by Fr.Swebert D'Silva, SJ, Principal of St.Aloysius Autonomous College; during the inaugural, AANJEL, the first ever Konkani novel in Kannada script by late J.S.Alvares published 57 years ago by Konkani Natak Sabha, now reprinted by the Konkani Institute of SAC will be released.
