Mangalore: BJP to Draw Up Strategies for Parliamentary Election

Mangalore, Nov 7: A meeting of the executive of the BJP is being convened shortly at Bangalore. The executive meeting will discuss the issue of parliamentary election in detail and finalize strategies for the same. National president of the party and various other leaders will be participating in the meeting to be held shortly, said MP and state BJP president D V Sadanand Gowda.

Speaking to the press at a programme here on Wednesday August 6, he conceded that his party is yet to plan strategies for the Lok Sabha election which is less than a year away. Gowda played down the simmering discontent among the party ministers and other cadres about the way the state government is being run, by saying that there are no differences whatsoever in the party. The government has taken the issue of terror threat seriously. Various arrests have been made and the government will pursue this issue with all seriousness, he stressed.

The police department has been given additional funds for acquisition of sophisticated weapons. The police are also given a free hand to deal with anti socials, he claimed.
