Mangalore: Unrest at the CPI (M) Protest, Two More Arrested

Mangalore, Aug 6: In connection with the violent incidents that occurred during a protest organized by CPI (M) in front of the City Corporation office here on Monday August 4 culminating in the caning of the protestors, the policemen have arrested two more persons on Tuesday August 5.

The arrested persons have been identified as Rajesh and Manoj. Barke police said that both were remanded to judicial custody after being produced in the court.

The total number of arrests in this case has gone up to 14 now. Yashwant Maroli, advocate, who was arrested on Monday in this case, was granted bail by the court.
