Kundapur: Bikes Collide near Sangam Killing Two

Kundapur, Aug 6: After two motor bikes collided with each other in the late hours of Monday August 4 near the Sangam bridge on the outskirts of the town, bike riders Maulana Mohammed Shabbir (32) from Gangolli and Shankar(32) from Tallur near here, died. Pillion riders Ibadulla and Nagaraj have sustained grievous injuries.

Although the local people shifted the people involved in the accident immediately to hospital, Shabbir died on the spot while Shankar breathed his last on his way to Manipal hospital. A pool of blood was formed at the site of the accident.

Shabbir, who married last year, is the father of a small child. He was employed abroad and after spending some time at his native place, was about to go back to a foreign country. Injured Ibadulla too is working abroad and had come here three days back. Shankar is said to be running a roadside eatery in the Sangam area of the town.
