Ahmedabad, Fe 7 (TOI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wife Jasodaben was injured and the driver of the car she was in killed in a road accident that occurred on the Kota-Chittorgarh four-lane road near Begu, Rajasthan, on Wednesday morning.
According to sources, Jasodaben was travelling from Atru in Bara towards Udaipur when around 10 am their car hit a trailer truck.
"Jasodaben has sustained some minor injuries and is out of danger. She has been admitted to district hospital Chittorgarh. A case will be registered again the unidentified truck driver," said Rajesh Rajora, Circle Officer, Begrun.
The car driver Basant died on the spot, he said.
Jashodaben is a retired school teacher in Brahmanwada, a village about 35km from Modi's hometown, Vadnagar.
