Mangalore: Kinnigoli Lions, Lioness Clubs - New Teams Take Charge

Mangalore, Aug 1:
The installation ceremony of the newly-elected office-bearers of Lions and Lioness Clubs of Kinnigoli for the year 2008-09, was held here recently. MJF Ln Alwyn Patric Patrao, vice-district governor of Lions District 324-D5 participated as the chief guest. Ln Ignatius Mendonca and Lns Blasius Mendonca of Niddodi were installed as the president of Lions and Lioness club respectively for the year 2008-09. Ln Alwyn Patric Patrao conducted the oath-taking ceremony of the new office-bearers. In his message, he urged the Lions members to work for the welfare of the needy and poor people of the society. Even though Kinnigoli club is located in the rural area, it has done lot of social work for the benefit of the people and society and secured a prominent place in the district, he noted and congratulated all the members for their effort and support.

Outgoing president Ln Dr Roshan Pinto, in his speech, thanked all the members who helped him to discharge his responsibilities during the past year and serve the society. He also presented mementos on his behalf to all the members. Newly-installed president Ln Ignatius Mendonca requested the members to extend their wholehearted cooperation to continue the good work of the previous team.
 
Ln Valerian Sequeira and Lns Stella Sequeira presented the 2007-08 report of Lions and Lioness club respectively. Ln Goldine D'Souza introduced the guests.  Ln Roshan D'Souza welcomed the gathering. Newly-elected secretary Ln K Vijayakumar Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
